The computers that my company will be using to develop my product will be using pre-emptive multitasking operating systems. A pre-emptive multitasking operating systems allow users to run multiple programs or tasks at one time without any programs timing out or loosing information. This is the most affective, safe and time efficient operating systems to use in my companies opinion.
Computers that my company will be using will have a lot of information stored on them. Information will be continuously added and deleted. Adding and deleting information can and will slow down computers. To speed my companies computers back up they will be De-fraged once a week during low activity hours.
I am glad that you recognize the threat of others redistributing your product through the use of open source software. How will you go about preventing this from happening?
ReplyDeleteI would require anyone who would like to build upon my software to access the source code through my company's web site. Before actually allowing access to the source code I would require the user to agree to the terms and conditions. These terms and conditions would make it clear that no programs developed from the original source code provided by my company is to be distributed with intentions of receiving profit.
